It has been a while since I really worked on anything for my own pleasure. Sometimes it is hard to justify these things, when we are constantly pressured to promote content and sales. But it seems I had been doodling this Santa Muerte for a while now. As I flip through my gross sketches, the first one was from 2021. It never really evolved, just popped in over and over. I found her sneaking onto corner pages, hovering among hedgehogs and pumpkins and short ideas. It was finally time to let her out.

So here she is, and here I am, playing with painted gold editions and candles. I can't really ever get the spooky out.
